The materials selected for the office place an emphasis on natural textures to create a light contemporary atmosphere.
RKK was commissioned the build of a complex sculpture combining traditional masteries and modern technology fusing materials such as glass, metal and stone. The hands behind the masterpiece are those of master stonemason Vito Valentino Cimarosti, renowned for his Ars Fingendi sculpture, an artwork dedicated to George Clooney and displayed next to his Lake Como property in Italy.
With this project, Rigby & Rigby pushed the boundaries of design by creating a highly personalised space that represents the past, present and future of the family office.
The glass element was obtained by using traditional glass blowing techniques, and various glass patterns were sampled to painstakingly meet the clients vision. The tall pyramid was made of high-grade engineering grade 10mm aluminium sheets, machined to horological precision and finished with a custom metallic bronze oven cured ceramic coating. The stone was CNC machined to accommodate the glass, the metal structure and the lighting system.
